Theater Workshop

We are very grateful that, while the Frankfurt theater accompanies us on its six-stop tour, it takes the time to offer artistic workshops for the children of each community and anyone interested. These workshops include acrobatics, stilt-walking, juggling, instrumental, and theatrical practices. We are eagerly looking forward to the workshops that the members of the troupe will hold at local schools (along with the CEU students who will volunteer and participate as part of their professional training).

16:00

Pantomix – A Performance by Csaba Méhes

An evening of carefree entertainment, promising a joyful pantomime show. The light-hearted scenes are built on classic comedic situations and showcase the techniques of traditional Decroux-style pantomime. Right from the beginning, the audience becomes participants and active players in the performance through various audience interactions and improvisations.

17:00

Made in Gypsystan! (Talent Show)

A "Ki mit tud?!" stage competition series where small groups and individual performers can participate. The top three performances from each of the five locations will be invited to Budapest, where on October 12th, the best acts will be showcased at a central square in Józsefváros. The Made in Gypsystan gala will take place at Kálvária Square on October 12th at 5 PM, on a stage set up by the Antagon Theater.

18:00

Ashes – Theater by Frankfurt's Antagon Theater AKTion

ASHES conveys an important message: our world is changing, the future is uncertain, and we are increasingly realizing that the old way of living—"bigger, better, faster"—no longer works. The realities of climate change and wars compel us to rethink what truly matters in life. The play asks: when everything turns to ashes, what remains of our culture?
